Membership

The Boys & Girls Club of Aberdeen Area has been offering low cost, affordable memberships ever since they began offering their services 49 years ago. We offer 3 options for membership. $35 for the school year, $85 for the summer session or $100 for the full year. Even though this is very inexpensive, we provided 86 membership scholarships to families that could not afford the membership cost since May 1, 2018. The actual expenses of having one member at the club for a year are about $616 dollars, a significant discount to the community. The support we get towards memberships help keep the cost down.

Education/Programs

The Boys & Girls Club of Aberdeen Area inspires and enables all young people, K-18 years of age, especially those most in need of our services, to realize and develop to their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. We follow the Boys & Girls Club of America Impact 2020 initiative to deepen the impact of our programming to our members.

Core Programming Areas

Our core programming all works to achieve one goal – give youth the tools to develop healthy and positive behaviors that will allow them to become successful adults. Our programs include: education and career development; health and life skills to create positive behaviors; character and leadership development, the arts, sports, fitness and recreation, and field trips around the area.

After School Transportation (AST)/Meals

On average, we pick up over 300 area youth from every elementary and middle school in the Aberdeen Area and safely bring them to the Boys & Girls Club in our 132 vehicles. This includes students from the Warner and Northwestern School Districts who live in Aberdeen as well as students from Aberdeen Christian and Roncalli Elementary School.

During the school year we serve a healthy snack and meal to all Club members. During the summer session we serve a healthy breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. We charge $1 for breakfast and the snack and meal is provided at no charge to all of our members. We will never turn away a child due to inability to pay.
