More about SPURS
Did you know the movement of a horse mimics the movement of a human’s walk? At SPURS Therapeutic Riding Center, they offer something different to every one of their riders. To a rider with physical disabilities, they give them four working legs. To a rider with autism, they give them a friend with no judgment. To a rider with speech issues, they give them a partner who needs no words to communicate. The benefits their riders receive are endless. They include improved posture and balance, stronger muscles, cognitive improvements, improved hand-eye coordination, improved fine and gross motor control, enhanced communication skills, increased self-confidence and self-esteem and new problem-solving skills.
